Route of the Hiawatha

Route of the Hiawatha Shuttle Info

There is a shuttle that runs during the biking season to provide  transportation for individuals and their bicycles between Roland and Pearson.  The shuttle passes by the Moss Creek trailhead, and can stop at that location by request.

Please note that the shuttle drops guests off on the Idaho side of the St. Paul Pass, or "Taft" Tunnel at the West Portal.  Guests need to be prepared to bike back through the big tunnel to reach the East Portal parking area.  This means you get to experience the Taft Tunnel twice!

The cost for the shuttle is:
        $9 for Adults
$6 for children ages 6 through 13 years

Tickets can be purchased at Lookout Pass or when you board the bus.  Seats are available on a first-come first-serve basis.  Plan ahead.

The operating season is divided up into:
         EARLY SEASON (May 22 - June 27)
         PEAK SEASON (June 28 - September 6)
         LATE SEASON (September 7 - September 26)

The following tables give the shuttle schedule for the EARLY SEASON, the PEAK SEASON, and the LATE SEASON.  In times of inclement weather or other reasons, changes in the shuttle schedule will be posted at the East Portal, Roland, Moss Creek, and Pearson trailheads.
